Overview:
Fantastic opportunity for a sales individual who is looking to become a mortgage advisor and build a long-term career working with a very well established independently owned mortgage broker firm in Shrewsbury, with a good basic, full training along with support in obtaining the CeMAP qualification.
Main Duties:
Working as a trainee mortgage advisor in the Shrewsbury area, you will join this award winning independently owned mortgage broker firm.
Our client is a well-respected mortgage broker firm and is offering the rare opportunity for a trainee mortgage advisor or trainee mortgage broker firm to join the team.
You will be required to work with the existing team, contacting the existing clients to arrangement an appointment with the mortgage advisor to review their existing mortgage arrangements.
As well as contacting the existing loyal client base offering a remortgage service to help clients, you will also deal with new clients generated via various sources, including professional introducers, social media marketing, referrals, and recommendations.
Speaking to the new clients in a professional manner you will ascertain the customers’ needs and requirements, by asking screening questions then arranging one of the team of mortgage advisors to contact the clients offering whole of market mortgage advice.
Part of the training to becoming a mortgage advisor is to also understand the mortgage admin part of the business. As a trainee mortgage advisor, you will do this by liaising with all third parties involved in new property purchases, including estate agents, solicitors, as well as clients. Chasing outstanding documentation, chasing all parties for updates on both their mortgage and protection applications.
Key Skills:
For this trainee mortgage advisor role based in Shrewsbury, communication is key for this rare opportunity, as you will be dealing with both new and existing clients over the telephone, virtually and written communication.
Therefore, excellent communication skill is vital for this role. The ability to deal with clients and third parties at all levels is also required.
Previous sales or customer service experience is essential, along with a clean credit history, no criminal convictions and GCSE Maths and English.
