Remuneration: £27,000 – £31,000 basic, including car allowance, OTE £55,000 year 1, £80,000 year 2
Overview: A well-known estate agency is seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to provide mortgage and protection advice from their bustling office in Plymouth. This role involves handling mortgages up to £400k, with an average property value of £200k. The successful Mortgage and Protection Broker has the potential to bank £130k – £150k, offering an earnings potential of £65,000 – £75,000.
Main Duties: An outstanding opportunity awaits an experienced and fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) Mortgage Advisor, Mortgage Broker, or Mortgage Adviser to work with one of the UK’s most recognized estate agency brands. Based in the vibrant Plymouth area, you will join a dynamic team of estate agency staff.
As an experienced Mortgage Advisor, you will receive new mortgage leads daily, with full access to the existing client database, allowing you to offer a remortgage service. The role requires a proactive individual to work alongside introducers, contacting existing clients to review their current mortgage and protection policies, and handling fresh leads daily.
Working with a sales-focused team of negotiators, you will provide regulated advice on mortgages and associated protection products. In addition to qualified leads, you will have access to a wide array of mortgage products and competitive protection policies.
The branch will provide you with eight first appointments per week, with the expectation of writing two mortgages per week, each with an average case size of £1,800. Based on these averages, you have the opportunity to bank over £170,000, with potential earnings exceeding £80,000.
Key Skills: As the sole Mortgage Advisor, Broker, or Adviser in the Plymouth branch, you must possess excellent knowledge of mortgages and various products, along with the CeMAP qualification (or equivalent). Consideration will be given to individuals from tied, independent, or banking mortgage environments with a strong track record in mortgage sales, provided they hold the CeMAP, CF6, or MAQ qualification, along with CAS.
