Overview:
A rare opportunity for an experienced mortgage sales manager, to join an independently owned mortgage broker firm, supervising an existing team of 7 employed home and office-based mortgage and protection brokers and 5 mortgage administration staff in and around the Shrewsbury area.
Main Duties:
Due to expansion and a fantastic year in 2022, our client who is an independently owned mortgage broker firm, requires an experienced mortgage sales manager to work closely with the business owner and supervise the existing team of 7 whole of market mortgage and protection brokers and 5 mortgage admin staff in the Shrewsbury area.
As an experienced mortgage sales manager, you will be required to supervise an established and experienced team of 7 whole of market mortgage and protection brokers and 5 mortgage admin staff. Working closely with the business owner you will mentor, coach, and supervise the existing team of mortgage brokers.
Attending the client meetings, you will offer positive and constructive feedback to the mortgage brokers, helping them improve. Carrying out regular 1:1 meetings with the brokers to ensure that all business opportunities are taken advantage of.
As well as ensuing the team of mortgage brokers achieve the business and personal targets you will ensure the smooth running of the office. Working closely with the mortgage administration team, you will make sure that the clients are kept updated with their mortgage and protection applications as well as all documentation are compliant.
Our client will offer a basic to £45,000 including car allowance, pension, DIS, PMI, as well as other benefits and an OTE of £65,000 plus.
Key Skills:
As the mortgage sales manager working closely with the existing team of high performing mortgage brokers, previous sales management experience is essential.
Experienced in supervising a team of estate agency-based mortgage and protection brokers is desirable, however, applications will be considered from experienced mortgage sales managers from banks, building societies or mortgage broker firms.
A proven track record of supervising a team of CeMAP qualified mortgage brokers or mortgage advisers, along with a clean credit history, a full UK driving licence with no drink driving offences and with no previous criminal convictions is required.
