Overview:
An outstanding and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial services trainer or mortgage trainer to join one of the UK’s largest and best-known mortgage networks based in the Northampton and Bedford area.
Main Duties:
Our client is one of the UK’s best known and widely recognised mortgage broker networks and due to expansion are looking to recruit an additional mortgage trainer to join their national team, based ideally in the Northampton or Bedford area.
As the successful mortgage trainer, you will be required to present the 5-week training programme to new entrants to the financial services industry. Training the new entrants to the mortgage industry, you will go through the CeMAP training as well as sales training on how to conduct face to face client fact finds and how to present the suitable mortgage and protection policies to the new clients.
The training currently offered by our client is in depth and thorough to help trainee mortgage brokers or trainee mortgages advisers gain their first experience as a mortgage broker.
As the mortgage trainer running the 5-week induction courses to the new mortgage brokers, you will be ensuring that their CeMAP knowledge is up to speed, how to carry out a thorough and compliant mortgage fact find, how to advise the clients on which mortgage is suitable as well as the appropriate life assurance.
You will be responsible for offering the trainees the full information about how to become a successful mortgage and protection broker.
Typical examples of new entrants are individuals with CeMAP 1 to CeMAP 3, with previous sales experience but not in the financial services industry.
All of the new entrants will have been vetted via 3 interviews, compliance checks completed, so it is imperative that they complete the initial induction course with a good understanding of what is expected.
Key Skills:
As a mortgage trainer, you must be experienced in presenting training and induction courses in the financial services industry, ideally within the mortgage sector.
You must have a thorough understanding of the FCA’s rules and regulations and the importance of following the mortgage process.
You should be experienced in dealing with new recruits to the financial services industry and ensure that after the 5-week course they have a thorough understanding of the mortgage industry, how to conduct a compliant fact find and offer suitable mortgage and protection advice.
A clean credit history, no criminal convictions along with a full UK driving licence is a necessity for this absolutely fantastic opportunity.
